About Ballymaloe Shop (more than just a kitchen shop)
In 1972, Wendy Whelan started the kitchen and craft shop at Ballymaloe House, Shanagarry, Cork, Ireland, as an exciting addition to the existing business her mother Myrtle Allen had created.
Opening Times: The Ballymaloe Kitchen and Craft shop is open all year round, seven days a week from 9:00 to 18:00 in Summer and from 9:30 to 18:00 in Winter.
The Ballymaloe Shop is located in a charming old farm building next to Ballymaloe House. It is more than a kitchen shop or a craft shop it is both and much more. In this kitchen and craft shop you will find a carefully selected, competitively priced range of Irish designer goods, crafts, knitwear, clothes, books, food, textiles to suit all styles and all kitchen or dining rooms, kitchen gadgets, kitchen utensils, baking tins, bakeware, knives, specialist kitchenware, tea towels, tea cosy, baby blankets, blankets, rugs throws and lots more. Jim Whelan (Wendy's husband) provides bespoke guided tours around Ireland. He is both a driver and a guide with a wide knowledge and a long history of giving guided tours around Ireland. He is based at Ballymaloe, has a spacious, comfortable mini bus. He does day trips, airport transfers, personalized guided tours and golfing outings.
